Let's Talk

On behalf of Tripp I would like to invite you to comment on his blog. For instance why do you visit the address? I am sure one of the reasons is Tripp himself. How do you know Mr. Mayhem? Is it through his classes at Equinox? Or is it a personal connection you share with him? We would love to hear your thoughts here.
I started this blog because I saw something in him that was singular in nature. He inspired me big time, and writing about him is Faulkneresque, it just flows.  I know Tripp from class and it was in those 60 minute sessions I caught a glimpse of his irrepressible spirit. I have gotten to know him by way of sound bytes by phone and in person and I know it’s just the tip of the iceberg of a narrative that has to be told.
So feel free, and bloviate to your hearts content.

Missing in Action

I would love to hear from some of you about spinning with Tripp.  I have unfortunately not found the right timing to be in any of his classes. I will try in the upcoming week to do so.  I so do miss his energy and disarming persona.  Please feel free to comment or email me at JackBriant@mac.com.

What's Next?

Where for art thou Mr Mayhem?  Fun is missing in my life. I have not had a ride with Mr. Fantastic in quite some time. That has been my scheduling problem. I know that his escapades in Lake Placid have been well documented by this writer, but we want more than chronicles, we want the inside story. What is Tripp thinking? How can all his devotees be brought together under one roof?  This could be the place but I ask you readers to petition for a more active role so we can get to know one another and exchange ideas and make this blog a living breathing entity.

Indeed a Changed Man

Who is Tripp Doherty?  I got to sit down with the man over lunch today and it’s just what I thought, an extraordinary man who has led and extraordinary life. I will share with you some of his thoughts albeit content free. He is deeply passionate about his life both past and present. His values have changed drastically over the last four years and so has his lifestyle. He lives in New Paltz and puts over 100,00 miles on his car a year.  He shared some revelatory things about his work, family  and how his life is radically different than the one he used to live. He teaches 17 spin classes a week and today at Equinox he had just completed three in a row. Who else but Mr. Fantastic would they even ask to do such a feat? Just a snippet and I look forward to our next meeting.

There's One Man With a Vision

The more I talk about this man only fortifies my resolve to get to know his life story. If you notice he lets out a nugget every now and then. When he talked about his experience with the WTC I knew that what he has not revealed to us yet are the ingredients that make him the man he is. And the man he is becoming. He has a vision of how he wants his life to look like and he wants us along for the ride. Pun intended.

    Big Time Adventure

Beyond comparison because Mr. Fantastic has no equal when measured in life experience. Some people are born to lead and have the pedigree. But, some like Tripp take a pair of broken wings and soar like an eagle.
Today in the CS smiles abounding when our host chose to play “The Jeffersons” theme song: We’re Moving on Up.  As I canvas my cycle mates the look of incredulity was as refreshing  akin to a breeze coming through the picture windows in the back of the studio.
There is a consistency in every ride with the incandescent one, he makes sitting still and spinning our wheels like wild adventure.
